# process.get_envs

## Function

Read the current builder environment variable configuration.

## Syntax

```bt
process(program).get_envs()
```

## Parameters

No parameters.

## Return value

| Type | Description |

| Object | Returns the environment variable object. |

## Environment variable object structure

| key | type | description |
| ------ | ------ | ------ |
| Environment variable name | String | The environment variable value set to the current process builder via `env()` or `envs()`. |

## Example

```bt
// Read the environment variables already set on the current builder.
cmd = process('cmd').env('BT_ENV', '1')
result = cmd.get_envs()

// Output: {"BT_ENV":"1"}
print result
```

## Notes

- Only variables configured via env/envs are returned.
