# Date.micros

## Function

Reads the microsecond portion of the current Date within the current second.

## Syntax

```bt
date_value.micros()
```

## Parameters

No parameters.

## Return value

| Type | Description |
| ------ | ------ |
| Int | Returns the fraction of microseconds from 0 to 999999. |

## Code Example

```bt
result = date().from_micros(1234567).micros()

// Output: 234567
```

## Notes

- To read full microsecond Unix timestamps use timestamp_micros().
